All our activities have varying degrees of physical and mental challenge to them and some require a small level of fitness. All our instructors hold first aid qualifications but are not medical professionals to assess the capacity of participants who may require additional support. It remains your responsibility to assess the risks involved before and during participation.
Any uncertainty please consult a medical professional before booking your visit.
To avoid any disappointment we wish everyone to come and enjoy their visit but also be safe. Field Sport UK must be informed prior to your visit/booking of any participants requiring additional support or any impairment that could affect their ability to participate, as the activity may not be suitable due to safety. Please note we do not have adaptive equipment.
We allow support workers to be with you whilst you undertake the activity free of charge (please note the support worker will only partake in the activity if they are paid for)
Accessibility
Our main activity centre building is located within a woodland on one level. The car park is situated directly in front of the entrance to the site with only a short distance involved.
We are fortunate to have the majority of our ranges undercover, however, our axe throwing range has no cover except for the spectator’s area. Our clay shooting stands are covered but spectators will be in the open.
The toilets on site are compostable due to no running water and there is one Disabled toilet.
SENSORY
This includes Visual Impairment and Hearing Impairment. We can use some of our equipment as visual aids during safety briefs however as I am sure you can appreciate with the activities you are undertaking we need to be certain that everyone can understand the activity and how to do it, to keep you, us and everyone safe. You may like to bring signers/ translators or hearing companions; we do not have translators and we cannot write instructions down on paper. Depending on the severity of the participant's visual impairment, you may need additional instructors to support you and keep you safe but will be at an additional cost and must be pre booked or, if deemed unsafe, we reserve the right to not allow the participant to take part in the activity.
Our shooting activities (zombie blatt, clays, air rifle and pistol) will not be suitable for those who are sensitive to loud noises, ear plugs are provided. We provide safety glasses which must be worn on all shooting activities, the only exemption, is those with prescription glasses. Headphones playing music are not allowed for safety reasons.
PHYSICAL DISABILITY
We are very fortunate to be situated in a beautiful forest, however, this does come with its limitations in terms of accessibility. The area is a little uneven in places with shredded barking on our pathways and ranges. Our activities can be accessed with all-terrain off-road wheelchairs.

If a participant is unable to remain attentive during safety briefings, the activity may not be suitable. Consideration must be taken for any participants that are under-prescribed medication and whether this could affect the safety of them and others.

All participants must be able to interpret and observe a 15-minute safety brief and some activities have multiple safety briefs for different equipment that will be used.
